I took the Torrie out to Sandown yesterday with 4 year old Brock by my side to check out the 1st ASRF Blokes Day Out. What a ripper of a day. Setup to raise awareness for men's health, with a stack of traders and stall holders, combined with a huge variety of display cars.. the place was packed out and over-flowed out to the carpark.

Hats off to the massive team of organisers, it was extremely well managed. Huge dollar value raffle items, lots of engine 'startups' during the day from some of the serious drag cars and tractors, celebrities in attendance, and well catered. If this happens again I highly encourage you to check it out. Best mix of variety I've seen in a long time, and Sandown is a top venue... here's some happy snaps...

Here's a few more pics of the blokey stuff that took my fancy....

First up, the tractor crew

The Braggs family are great people & super friendly. They were happily letting kids sit inside the Altered. This one runs an ET in the 7.30's...

The Army boys, what a couple of cool builds. First time I'd seen Project Digger in person, bloody nice. They're about to embark on a 3rd project - a Jeep I think. In order to get all 3 to fit into their transporter, they need to perform a pretty major roof chop on ARMYGEDDON to get some height out of it, haha.

The fire-truck demo was ace, yes even for Dad. Impressive reach on this thing!

Next up, need to sort through my car pics...

Yeah I think the advertising could have been a bit more wide-spread that's for sure. Hopefully this becomes an annual event.

Wow awesome pics and what a great venue to have it! Are you able to put it in a photo album on the ESC Facebook page so more people will see them? looks like a top day, will have to go next year.
